Couples therapy
Understanding unhelpful patterns and developing new ways of relating to each other – often in just a few sessions.
Even in stable relationships, unhelpful patterns of communication and behavior can develop over time. Often it is then no longer about individual conflicts, but about recurring dynamics: withdrawal and reproach, misunderstandings, hurt needs, or the feeling of no longer really reaching one another.
In couples therapy I support you in better understanding these patterns and developing new ways of relating to each other. Often a few sessions are enough to regain clarity about your own needs, to express them respectfully and at the same time become more open to your partner’s perspective.
A focus of my work lies on schema-therapy approaches in couples therapy as well as on appreciative communication. As a trainer and supervisor at the Frankfurt Schema Therapy Institute, I combine sound professional knowledge with a solution-oriented view of your specific relationship dynamics.
The point is not the question of who is “right”, but how the two of you can step out of entrenched patterns. Together we work on understanding conflicts better, improving communication and once again enabling more closeness, clarity and satisfaction in your relationship.
