Welcome to Praxis Ginzburg

Sometimes we find ourselves in phases of life that feel harder than usual. Conversations with partners, family or friends can bring relief – and yet there are situations in which the familiar ways are no longer enough.

If you keep doing what you have always done, you will keep getting what you have always got.

A protected space

Room to understand and change

Psychotherapy can open up a protected space to understand, sort out and change distressing patterns. At Praxis Ginzburg we work on a scientifically grounded basis with behavioral therapy and schema therapy.

A particular focus lies on group therapy and schema-based couples therapy. In both formats, relational patterns become visible: towards yourself, towards others and within the partnership. Together we develop new ways to perceive your needs, to communicate more clearly and to experience more connection and inner security again.

As a certified schema therapist for couples, groups and individual therapy, as well as a trainer and supervisor, I accompany these processes together with my team — with experience, clarity and a solution-oriented perspective.

Frequently asked questions

A few things people often ask us before the first appointment.

How do I get a therapy place at Praxis Ginzburg?

The easiest way to reach us is during our phone consultation hour – Wednesdays from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on 069 / 84842733. Outside these times, simply send a short email to info@praxis-ginzburg.de. We will get back to you to arrange an initial appointment where we look together at whether and how we can support you.

What is the difference between behavioral therapy and schema therapy?

Behavioral therapy looks mainly at the here and now: which thoughts, feelings and behaviours keep a problem going – and what can be changed in concrete terms? Schema therapy goes a level deeper and addresses patterns formed early in life (so-called schemas) that still steer us today. In our practice we combine both approaches, depending on what fits your concern.

Will my health insurance cover the costs?

Psychotherapy for mental health conditions is a regular service covered by statutory and private health insurers in Germany. We clarify the details with you in the initial session – including which route suits your situation best.

Do you offer therapy in English?

Yes. Several colleagues in our team work in English – cognitive behavioral therapy and schema therapy for English-speaking clients in the Offenbach and Frankfurt area. You can read more on our “Psychotherapy in English” page.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is a chance to get to know each other. You describe what is on your mind, and together we clarify whether therapy makes sense and which approach suits you. It commits you to nothing – the point is that you feel in good hands.

Do you also offer couples or group therapy?

Yes. Alongside individual therapy we offer couples therapy and several groups – including schema therapy and parent groups. We discuss individually which format might be right for you.
