Individual therapy

Our therapy methods in the individual setting.

Schema therapy

In our practice we offer schema therapy as a holistic treatment method.

Schema therapy is based on the assumption that each of us has developed emotional patterns, or “schemas”, that arose in childhood and influence our experience and behavior into adulthood. These schemas can lead us to become caught again and again in unhealthy behaviors and relationship patterns.

Through schema therapy you can learn to recognise and understand these patterns. Together we examine the unmet core needs that lie behind these schemas and find out how they still influence your life today.

Another important part of schema therapy is recognising and changing the so-called “modes”. Modes are different coping patterns (for example submission, avoidance or compensation) that can lead to unfavourable reactions in interaction with others and can reinforce one’s own negative thoughts and feelings.

Our goal in schema therapy is to help you recognise your schemas and modes, understand your unmet core needs and develop healthier behavioral alternatives.

Our therapists are trained according to the guidelines of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST) at the Schema Therapy Institute Frankfurt and offer you empathetic and professional support on your path of self-discovery and change. If you are ready to understand your emotional patterns and to pursue positive changes in your life, we warmly invite you to register for a session with us.

Behavioral therapy

Our empathetic therapists are specially trained in cognitive behavioral therapy. Discover the advantages of this professional therapy for a fulfilling life.

Behavioral therapy offers a wide range of advantages:

  • Practical: The therapy focuses on concrete, observable behavior and actions, which can lead to faster progress.
  • Short-term therapy: Behavioral therapy is often time-limited and focused, which is effective and cost-efficient for many people.
  • Individually tailored: The therapy is tailored to the individual needs and goals of the client.
  • Broad applicability: Behavioral therapy is effective for a wide range of mental disorders and challenges, such as anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders and eating disorders.
  • Measurable progress: Therapy goals are clearly defined, and progress can be measured through observations and rating scales.
  • Helpful tools: Clients learn practical techniques to deal with stress, anxiety and other emotional challenges.
  • Focus on self-help: The therapy encourages clients to work independently on their recovery and to strengthen their self-help skills.
  • Understanding of connections: Clients gain insight into the connection between thoughts, feelings and behavior and learn how they can influence them.

Mindfulness-based psychotherapy

Our thoughts often drift into the past or the future. With methods of mindfulness we can learn together with you to be more anchored in the here and now.

In our practice we rely on a scientifically grounded approach by integrating mindfulness and self-compassion into our therapy. Numerous studies have demonstrated the positive effects of mindfulness and self-compassion on mental health.

The practice of mindfulness has been shown to reduce stress, improve emotional regulation and increase overall well-being. Mindfulness exercises foster the ability to be present in the current moment and to accept one’s own thoughts and feelings without judgement.

At the same time, research has shown that self-compassion plays a decisive role in promoting self-acceptance, resilience and psychological well-being. The ability to meet oneself with kindness and compassion helps to reduce self-criticism and to develop a supportive inner dialogue.

By integrating mindfulness and self-compassion into our therapy, we offer you an evidence-based treatment that aims to bring about lasting positive changes in your life. Our therapists are specially trained and experienced in these areas and look forward to accompanying you on your journey of self-discovery and healing. Experience the scientifically proven effect of mindfulness and self-compassion and discover your inner strength and resilience.

Trauma therapy

We support you in processing traumatic experiences and finding inner healing.

In our practice we offer you an effective treatment method using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help you cope with traumatic experiences. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a specialised method that aims to process and change distressing thoughts and feelings connected with the trauma.

Through CPT you learn to identify distressing beliefs and to replace them with more realistic and healthier thoughts. Our experienced therapists accompany you in a safe space in order to ease the effects of the trauma and to pave your way to a stronger and more resilient sense of self. If you are ready to engage with your past and to find new hope for the future, you are in the right place with us. Let us begin the healing process together.
